Laury, 43, of Flint was inside Full Gospel Christian Church at 2 p.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, for the funeral for Gerrell Tyler when one person at the church was shot in the head.

Police at the scene confirmed the shooting but had no other details. Police Chief Alvern Lock said he had just arrived on scene and did not have any information to release.

Police had ordered people to stay in the church but were allowing some to leave as of 5 p.m. Saturday.
