The Happy Days character we all know and love, The Fonz (also known as: Arthur Herbert Fonzarelli, Fonzie, Fonzi, Fonzta! or just Fonz) lives in in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in the 1950's. He wears a signature leather jacket and rides Harley Davidson and Triumph motorcycles.
We remember The Fonz most from giving a single or double thumbs up while saying his signature catchphrase "Aaaaayee!", or him making a two hands down gesture while saying "Whoa".
The Fonz is gifted with the ability to magically control Arnold's jukebox by hitting it with the side of his fist and is also gifted with the ability attract any woman of his choice.
As a child, young Arthur and his mother were abandoned by his father. When his father disappeared he left a keyless locked box for Arthur. After many attempts at opening it, Arthur finally succeeded by riding over it with his tricycle, only to find "The key and that's it!"
Before the start of the Happy Days series, The Fonz belonged to two different gangs, the Falcons and the Demons. Happy Days begins with The Fonz as a high school dropout, ex-gang member. The entire Happy Days series follows The Fonz's transformational path from rebel to family man. He earns a high school diploma while working as an auto mechanic by attending night school. Eventually he becomes a teacher himself and in the final season he adopts a young orphan boy named Danny, finalizing his transformation before the show's end.
