Cool Fantasy Football Team Names

We've previously touched on what goes into the process of creating a good fantasy football name for your squad. A name must be original, unique, and humorous and, perhaps most importantly, must reflect on who you are as a person/coach. By that I mean a team name should give others - including rival coaches - an idea of what kind of person you are.

I've selected just a handful of my personal favourite names. I hope that these, in additional to my titles, offer you the right amount of inspiration to creative something of your own which is equally, or perhaps even more, brilliant!

The 40 Year Old Viking

is a name that is clearly a tip of the hat to the infamously popular, movie' The 40 Year Old Virgin.' I think the reason I consider this to be one of the cool fantasy football team names is because it doesn't feel the need to fall into the trap that most fantasy names do in terms of selecting offense terminology.

The team's head coach is clearly a movie fan, has a great sense of humour and is passionate about his favourite team: the Vikings. It ticks every box and is clever enough that you're likely to get a chuckle out of it when you read it. It's close to perfect in my book!
